75th Annual Johnson County Peach Festival

Clarksville
has been celebrating a fruity harvest for a quarter of a century with the Johnson County Peach Festival. This year the fun takes place Friday, July 25 through Saturday, July 26 around the courthouse square. Started in 1938, the Peach Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the state.

Enjoy peach-themed foods, such as peach cobbler, along with a jam and jelly bake-off, a peach seed spittin’ contest, and a peach pie eating contest.

Additional activities include scavenger hunts, four-mile run, talent contests, live bands, diaper derbies, greased pig chases, terrapin derby, frog jump, parade, and street dance. A special Kids’ Zone and handmade arts and crafts round out the offerings.

Admission is free. The courthouse is located at 200 W. Main. For more information, contact Travis Stephens at 479-754-2340 or by email at cjccofc@centurytel.net. The festival website is johnsoncountypeachfestival/.
