I don't go there for live music, I go there for the shop and museum. Also the view there is spectacular! I love to stop in and visit Artist Point whenever I drive up Hwy. 71, which admittedly is not that often. But I still enjoy it immensely. Artist Point is one of the few mountain mom and pop shops left open on Hwy. 71 after I-540 entered, and while the view is spectacular, it's so sad to see some of those other great shops that have had to close and are now just sitting up there more or less abandoned for years and years now. I hope and pray that never has to happen to Artist Point.

There aren't many of these little shops left to us today and this one is a treasure in it's own right! It was our first trip to this shop but we will be going back again and again. We bought souvenirs and took home 8 jars of the jams and jellies. In fact, I ordered more for Christmas. The items in the store were very good buys at reasonable prices. This just means you buy more!!! We, too, hope this shop never goes away because we look forward to our next trip there after the first of the year.
