This is not my favorite place to see live music but my favorite place to eat real Southern food like their Eggplant Casserole. Franke's is part of my childhood, teenage years, youth. We used to go there on Saturdays downtown and eat the most tasty hot clover leaf rolls and eggplant casserole washed down with iced tea. To me this is something I am never going to forget. I live over 5000 miles away from Frankes now but when I go to LR you can bet I will go to Frankes. Even it it isn't downtown anymore.
