Overview:
Built in the 1890s as a military facility, this 1,100-acre complex, also know as Fort Roots, includes 15 large ward buildings and 76 other structures with elements of Romanesque Revival and Greek Revival architecture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also in North Little Rock are the Arkansas National Guard Museum, Camp Pike and Camp Robinson.
