Overview:
This environmental education center is designed to be a field trip destination for children of ages appropriate to grades K-5, but appeals to all family members. The major educational emphasis is on materials that can be recycled at home or school. It consists of 11 Education Stations, a pavilion, picnic tables, barbeque unit and games. The total field trip consists of a tour of the drive thru recycling plant, a visit to the compost demonstration site, and the mulch area, and a tour of the Education Stations. Games available are hop-scotch, "Kid" tic-tac-toe, volleyball and Around Nine Frisbee Golf.
