Designated a National Wild and Scenic River in 1992. 70-mile river, rated Class II-IV during the spring for canoeing and kayaking, one of the state’s wildest rivers. Much of the river is within the 1.2-million-acre Ozark National Forest. Great choice for exploring, multi-species angling, swimming and wading. Several public campgrounds along its course.
