Summer’s here and that means it’s time for Little Rock’s Movies in the Park. Beginning tonight, June 9, free movies are shown each Wednesday at sundown in the Riverfront Park Riverfest Ampthitheatre. It’s a great way to spend a summer evening on the banks of the Arkansas River. The season kicks off with the 1985 hit Back to the Future, starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
The park opens at 6:30 p.m. Movie-goers can bring a picnic, and blankets and/or lawn chairs for the grassy areas. There is also dedicated seated available. Glass containers not allowed, and you must pick-up afterward. Cokes, popcorn, candy and ice cream are sold on-site. Riverfront Park is in the downtown Little Rock River Market District.
Here is the schedule for the rest of the summer.
· June 16: The Blind Side

· July 7: Sixteen Candles
· July 14: Over the Hedge
· July 21: Wedding Crashers
· August 4: Twilight
