The Arkansas Repertory Theatre has an early Christmas present for you. Tomorrow, Nov. 30, the theatre is offering “Pay What You Can” night for their presentation of “A Christmas Carol: The Musical.” Sponsored by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, this performance is a perfect opportunity for those who have never been to a live stage production and would like to give it a try. The box office, 601 Main Street in downtown Little Rock, opens at 9 a.m. Tickets must be purchased in person and there is a limit of two per person; subject to availability.

The play is based on the Charles Dickens’ novel, of course. We all know the familiar story: the spirit of Christmas is one of giving and Mr. Scrooge thankfully discovers this life-changing truth. Music is by award-winning composer Alan Menken, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.
“A Christmas Carol: The Musical” opens for regular performances on Dec. 2 and runs through Christmas Day. Tickets for these can be ordered online or by phone (501) 378-0405. Make plans now to experience this holiday classic.
