It’s 100 yards, give-it-everything-you’ve-got Bentonville Bicycle Drag Racing, and it’s happening at 10 a.m., May 31 on the downtown square.
The drag races will be fast and fun. You can race as many times as you want. Race your mom, dad, teacher, friend… anyone. Awards are given to everyone that competes, plus special awards to winners of divisions. The races will be held near the entrance to Lawrance Plaze (where the Splash Park is just down from 21C Museum Hotel). Event parking will be available on the top level of the @1C parking garage.
There is a $2 entry fee for each participant for each race (cash or check only), and you can register in person the day of the event or online. On the day of the drag races, check in at the registration table and sign a waiver. Make sure you bring your bike and helmet for the race.
This event is part of the Student Fitness Festival, which will feature 28 booths promoting local businesses engaged in fitness, healthy food choices, medical solutions, bikes, and team sports. The weekly Farmers Market will also take place on the Bentonville square.
