Celebrating 35 Years of That Bookstore in Blytheville

One of the things I love most in the world is a book. Fiction, non-fiction, biography, cook, coloring…I just love books and always have.

One of the Arkansas Delta’s jewels turns 35 tomorrow – That Bookstore in Blytheville. And you’re invited to stop in, have some cake and enjoy a 35% off sale.

The first time I walked into That Bookstore in Blytheville, I felt like a kid in a candy store – I didn’t know where to start! At the helm is Mary Gay Shipley, a lady who knows her books! She is an ambassador for Arkansas authors, independent writers and the Arkansas Delta as a whole.

The bookstore is one of those places that makes you feel at home when you walk through the door. You’re invited to have a cup of coffee – the store’s own special blend – and peruse the more than 25,000 titles found on the shelves.

That Bookstore in Blytheville hosts special events throughout the year, including book signings, book club discussions and musical concerts. You can also find a wide variety of Arkansas DeltaMade products in the store.

So if you’re anywhere near Blytheville tomorrow, stop by and celebrate 35 wonderful years of That Bookstore in Blytheville. The party starts at 4 p.m. and continues until 6. And remember, there will be cake!
