There is just something about food cooked outdoors that makes it even tastier! The staff at our Arkansas State Parks really knows a thing or two (or 50!) about cooking outdoors, especially in Dutch ovens. This weekend, the team at Davidsonville Historic State Park in Pocahontas takes Dutch oven cooking to a whole new level…an Italian level! Delizioso!

The park offers Mamma Mia! Italian Night: A Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop on March 17. Participants learn to make their favorite Italian dishes in a Dutch oven, including lasagna and Italian bread. Attendees will enjoy an Italian dinner following the workshop.

The interest in the Italian Night workshop was so high that the park has added another workshop on March 24. Reservations are required and space is limited. Contact the park at 870-892-4708 for more information on either of the yummy workshops!

Mama Mia that was tasty. Even if I kind of messed up the bread a little bit. Sorry fellow diners, good thing there were 2 batches and at least one of us knew how to bake bread. Krystal was great, as usual and the food and fellowship outstanding.
