Fantastic Friday Taking You Back

The Arkansas River Valley Arts Center in Russellville hosts an inaugural event this Friday, Jan. 18 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. that just might “take you back.” It’s called Fantastic Friday and is a literary and music evening.

Fantastic Friday will feature readings by Wetzel LaGrone of the three true stories he was chosen to read at the Starving Artists Cafe in North Little Rock for the “Tales From the South,” which are stories that along with others are widely broadcast in several countries by the World Radio Network.

Also at the event, Betty LaGrone will recite poetry she remembers from her school days. She thinks you may remember some to, and enjoy some that may be new to you as well. The theme for the event is “taking you back” because both the stores and poetry will take you back to your own childhood memories.

Refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so event planners ask you to make reservations by calling 479-968-2452 or by emailing artscenter@centurytel.net so accommodations can be made. A $10 per person donation is suggested.
