A terrific opportunity awaits visitors this Saturday, August 18, as the Clinton Presidential Library has a free admission day in honor of the 42nd president’s birthday. In addition, the audio tours narrated by President Clinton are free throughout the day.
There will be complimentary birthday cake and a chance to obtain a free Hope watermelon. Only 100 melons have been donated by the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce so get there when the doors open at 9 a.m.
If you’ve never visited the Presidential Center or you’ve been but didn’t have the opportunity to see all the exhibits and memorabilia, free admission day is a great time to go. Don’t forget: you can grab a bite to eat at Forty Two, located on the lower level. Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant uses herbs and vegetables grown in the terrace gardens so freshness is always on the menu.
