For the sixth year, Smithsonian Magazine is offering free admission to participating museums and cultural institutions around the country. This year’s freebie is Saturday, Sept. 25. All you have to do is go online and download your free admission ticket.
Arkansas properties taking part are the Arts and Science and Center for Southeast Arkansas (top photo) and the Arkansas Railroad Museum, both in Pine Bluff; the Historic Arkansas Museum and the Arkansas Museum of Discovery, in Little Rock; Hot Springs’ Mid-America Science Museum; the Old Independence Regional Museum (middle photo) in Batesville, and the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History (bottom photo) in Springdale. 
Three of the properties – the Museum of Discovery, Historic Arkansas Museum and Mid-America Science Museum – are Smithsonian affiliates.
Make it a day-long family activity and visit as many of these outstanding Arkansas museums as you can – for free!
