If you’re looking for something to do this evening, take in the free airing of O Brother Where Art Thou? at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. A part of the Little Rock Film Festival, the showing includes an introduction by actor Ray McKinnon who appears in the film and is now an Arkansas resident. McKinnon, along with his wife, actress and Arkansas native Lisa Blount, won an Academy Award for The Accountant in 2001. Also starring in this acclaimed Coen Brothers 2000 movie are George Clooney, John Turturro, John Goodman, Charles During and Holly Hunter. The film begins at sundown.
The award-winning Little Rock Film Festival continues through June 6 in the downtown River Market District. Paste Magazine describes is as “The biggest little film festival in the South…” New this year is a $10,000 prize for The Oxford American Best Southern Film Award Competition.
