This morning’s Geocaching Friday blog is to give you an update on our Arkansas’s Great River Road Challenge Cache.
This cache is a way to show our appreciation for those cachers who have supported Arkansas Tourism’s caches along our state’s section of the Great River Road, which now number over 150.
The response to the power trail and the new challenge cache has been great…and I want to thank all of you for the nice comments left on the cache logs. And now, I want to brag on our cachers for a moment!
We unveiled the Arkansas Great River Road power caches on April 2. On July 8, a mere 13 weeks after they went
live, those 120 caches had been found a total of 3,360. In less than four months! So thank you, kind geocachers, for supporting our caches and our efforts in raising awareness of eastern Arkansas through geocaching!
Remember, you have through July 30 to find the 75 caches and then the challenge cache to be included in our drawing. All cachers who meet the challenge requirements and bookmark their 75 finds will be included in a drawing for several great prizes from Arkansas Parks and Tourism.
If you have questions, feel free to contact me at DeltaTraveler@gmail.com.
Remember, wherever you go or whatever you do this weekend, be safe!

Finished the trail over the weekend. Would definitely recommend it to others!
Kim,
Is there an app for the iPhone that you would recommend that handles geocaching?
Hey, Jerry! I personally use the Geocaching.com app for the iPhone. I will say that I still use my handheld GPS, but the app has an amazing compass on it.
