Geocachers are known for their appreciation and love of the great outdoors. That’s why many caching events have a “giving back” component.
On Sept. 25, the Searcy Area Cachers show their appreciation to the community with Giving Back and Picking Up. It’s a Cache In, Trash Out (CITO) event, where cachers come in and find the nearby geocaches, while picking up litter in the area. The event is being held in Riverside Park at 3 p.m.
The CITO event in being held in conjunction with Searcy’s 4th annual Meet and Greet, being held earlier in the day. The event is also held at Riverside Park and features Geo-Bingo, Closest to the Pin contest, a poker run, a Best Camo contest, and pocket caches.
Believe me, if you’re a cacher and haven’t cached in Searcy, you need to make plans and attend these events! And, of course, do some caching while you’re there!
Have a great weekend!
