Fall, as well as fall weather, has officially arrived in The Natural State. As I’ve stated before, autumn is my favorite time to geocache!
As I made my way to Geocaching.com this morning, I noticed that there are a plethora of new caches that were released yesterday. You’ll definitely want to check those out for a few possible First to Finds (FTFs) this weekend.
Arkansas State University Museum in Jonesboro is hosting a Meet and Greet on Oct. 9 in conjunction with the grand opening of GPS Adventures Arkansas exhibit. GPS Adventures Arkansas was the first exhibit endorsed by Geocaching.com that focuses on a single state. The exhibit takes visitors through a 1,500-square-foot maze that explains the concept of GPS, the history of navigation, the sport of geocaching and the Arkansas State Park’s ParkCache program.
The town of Clinton is hosting their first Metro Scavenger Event on Oct. 9. Cachers are invited to the Main Street Park Pavilion. The
scavenger hunt begins promptly at 9 a.m. and continues through noon. There’s a list of great prizes that will be given away to some lucky cachers!
It’s going to be a WONDERFUL weekend in The Natural State. Get out and find some caches!
