Today I wanted to blog about a few upcoming events sponsored by the Arkansas Geocachers Association.
The ArkGeo’s 2010 annual meeting is planned for Petit Jean State Park near Morrilton on June 5. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Activities are planned throughout the day. The 2nd annual ArkGeo Hot Dog Roast and Campout begins at 7 p.m. The next day, Sunday, June 6, the organization hosts the 2010 ArkGeo CITO at Petit Jean State Park. CITO stands for
“cache in, trash out” and is an opportunity for geocachers to “give back” to the environment. Since 2002, geocachers have been dedicated to cleaning up parks and other cache-friendly places around the world.
The Arkansas Geocachers Association’s June Eat-and-Greet is scheduled for June 12 at 8 a.m. at Anne’s Country Café in Pine Bluff. An eat-and-greets is an informal get-together for local and regional cachers to meet, share a meal and discuss caching. It is also one of the BEST ways to meet other geocachers in your area.
.
Be sure and check out next Friday’s blog. I’ll be extending an invitation to you all to join me for some “power caching” on the weekend of June 12!
Have a great Memorial Day holiday. And, most importantly, BE SAFE!
