Getting Ready for Tour de Rock

Kerry Kraus
Tour de Rock, one of Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute’s major fundraising events, is June 12. The bike race is for all ages and capabilities — from the family ride on the River Trail to jaunts ranging in length from 30, 50, 62 and 120 miles. To help participants get ready for the big race, several training sessions have been set for each month up to the event.

Snacks are offered at the mid-way point and end of the rides, plus a sag wagon is provided for assistance. Upcoming training dates, locations, number of miles and times are on the Tour de Rock Web site.

I’m pleased to see that biking is really taking off in the Natural State.
