The museum will offer free admission all day as well as extended hours in honor of Clinton’s birthday. The Arkansas Wind Symphony Sax Quartet will play from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Refreshments will include Clinton’s favorite snacks – Moon Pies, peanuts, and RC Cola. Birthday cake will also be served. The public can stop by to sign Clinton’s birthday card and share favorite stories about the former president.
The museum served as the first home of former President William Jefferson Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The couple was married in the living room of the home in October of 1975. They lived in the home while Clinton reorganized from a failed political campaign for the U. S. House of Representatives and while he operated an ultimately successful campaign for Attorney General of Arkansas.
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Jan. 22, 2010. It is located at 930 W. Clinton Dr. (formerly California Boulevard). Find out more by calling 479-444-0066 or visiting Clintonhousemuseum.org.
