My Thursday blogs are all about being Heart Healthy. When the New Year rolled around, I’m sure many of us made a resolution to get fit – to make a change. So let’s do it.
Here are two upcoming May events to get your heart pumping – and your legs, and your arms.
The 6th annual Syllamo’s Revenge Mountain Bike Challenge takes place May 1 in the Mountain View area. The event offers more than 40 miles of biking through the beautiful Ozark Mountains with changing scenery and views of the White River Valley and Sylamore Creek Valley. Phone 870-269-8068 for details.
The Arkansas Canoe Club School of Whitewater Paddling will hold class May 1-2 at Turner Bend on the Mulberry River near Ozark. Learn to canoe for a lifetime of fun with family and friends. Phone 479-667-2525 or visit ArkansasCanoeClub.com for information.
Get out there. Get active!

Does the state make a map of camp grounds so a person could see where they would like to go to camp? We are planning a camping trip the last of May to Blanchard Springs and I could not find where it tells me if it has any hook ups. Thank you, Nana Fern
Nana – click on this link – http://www.arkansas.com/travel-tools/vacation-kit/ – to order an Arkansas Vacation Kit. It has an outdoor adventure guide that gives loads of information about camping, and camping facilities and amenities around the state. It also has a state map, Tour Guide and Calendar of Events. I think you’ll find it very useful.
