Catch a historic reenactment in El Dorado during Showdown at Sunset on August 23. The performance, which starts at 6 p.m. downtown on the steps of the Union Country Courthouse, is a summer tradition in town and only three shows are shown each season. This is the last show of the summer season.
During the show, local actors recreate a famous gunfight that took place in 1902 between Marshal Guy Tucker and the Parnell Brothers. Right after the show, the entertainment continues with live music at the Union Square care of the Showtime Concert Series. On the agenda that night is country musician Logan Mize. Both events are free to check out. For more information, call 870-862-4747 or visit mainstreeteldorado.org.
