There’ll be plenty of hot entertainment, food and other activities at the River Market Pavilions during The Great Latino Summer Festival 2012.  Events take place on Sunday, July 8, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. in downtown Little Rock.

All day music, authentic Mexican food and dancing await those attend. Eleven Latino bands and performers will be on stage live all day.
Some of the featured entertainers include Los Cadetes de Linares, one of the oldest, longest- running norteño groups in operation; El Carril de Nuevo Leon, a Latino/Mexican band from Texas; Elvis impersonators, and Paquita la del Barrio, a Mexican singer of rancheras and other native styles.

General admission is $10 and tickets can be ordered online.  Children under age 12 are admitted free.

This appears to be a Mexican Festival similar to Cinco de Mayo featuring Mexican artist. There are other Latino groups in Arkansas and many can actually vote. Im Puerto Rican, American Citizen, and would like to see and hear and share some of my music and culture. I thank God for Little Rock Salsa that has brought some of the music and dancing to Little Rock. How can I be involved in the planning of this so called Latino festival?
