“Leaf Peeping” at Village Creek State Park

Happy Friday, my friends! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week and are preparing for a great weekend!

I had a meeting yesterday at Village Creek State Park near Wynne, and park superintendent Mike Brawner was telling me about the red

maples at the park’s campground (located past the cabin area). He was commenting that the colors were amazing. He was not exaggerating!

I love fall color, so I headed out to take a look and do a little “leaf peeping.” I’m SO happy I did!

These photos were taken with my iPhone, which really doesn’t do the colors justice!

If you’re anywhere near Village Creek State Park this weekend, I encourage you to do a little “leaf peeping” yourself!

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of driving elsewhere (still in Arkansas) for fall color. Now I know exactly where I will drive. It is so much closer.
