The Little RiverCounty Courthouse Lighting is today at 6 p.m. in Ashdown. The courthouse, which
is Neo-Georgian in design and topped by a dome, was built in 1907 and is now on
the National Register of Historic Places.
Ashdown is located in Little River
County, which got its name due to the area’s close proximity to the Little
River, which flows into the Red River near Texarkana. For more information on
the lighting ceremony check out www.littlerivercounty.org or call 870-898-7202.
The lights will stay on until January 1.
