The Spa City BluesSociety has announced the lineup and schedule for the 2010 Hot Springs Blues
Festival Sept. 3-4 in Hill Wheatley Plaza in Hot Springs.
The festival begins with a
kick-off party at Odie’s House of Blues on Sept. 2, featuring 2009
International Blues Challenge winner JP Soars and The Red Hots. Joining Soars will
be the 2009 Blues Music Award Entertainer of the Year Janiva Magness. Magness
will hold a meet and greet during the Thursday evening show.
The festival will officially
begin on Friday ( Sept. 3) Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6. Friday’s lineup includes:
John Calvin Brewer Band.
Grady Champion- 2010
International Blues Challenge winner, often compared to Sonny Boy Williamson
Blues Music Award Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year Magness
will headline Friday evening’s show.

Headlining
Saturday’s show will be legendary blues guitarist, Bernard Allison. The son of
Luther Allison, Allison carries the same six string assault as his father. Allison
spent time playing with Koko Taylor’s Blues Machine and joined Johnny Winter
and Stevie Ray Vaughan in performances over the years.
General admission is
$5/day. VIP tickets are $20 which includes two-day admission, covered seating, and
