Museum Monday: Lower White River Museum State Park Workshop This Weekend!
I’ve loved museums my entire life…and after working in one for 10 years, that love only grew stronger. On Mondays, I will share some of my favorite museums located within the 26 counties of eastern Arkansas.

Summer is a great time to learn a new skill! Check out the Broom-Making Workshop
at the Lower White River Museum State Park
in Des Arc
on July 17. Special guest instructor Shawn Hoefer from the Ozark Folk Center State Park
will show participants the way that brooms were made over 100 years ago. Participants will make their own regular whisk and turkey whiskbroom to take home.
While you’re there, you can’t miss the museum’s Columbian Mammoth exhibit! Found in 1965, the remains had been buried for centuries in the red clay near Hazen.
To learn more about the museum or about the upcoming workshop, give them a call at 870-256-3711.
Have a GREAT week!!
