National Veterans Golden Age Games Coming to Fayetteville

natvetgamesdiscusThe National Veterans Golden Age Games are coming to Fayetteville June 28-July 2. The Golden Age Games are the premier senior adaptive rehabilitative program in the U.S. and the only national seniors program designed to improve the quality of life for all senior Veterans.

The Games will be held on the University of Arkansas campus and other local venues. The competitive events include air rifle, bowling, cycling, field (discus, shot, javelin), golf, horseshoes, mind sports (checkers, dominoes), nine-ball, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis and track. There will be demonstration sport badminton. To find out all of the events please visit VA’s National Veterans Golden Age Games website.

Throughout the week, 800 men and women who have worn the uniform for the United States and defended our country with honor and dignity will compete right here in Northwest Arkansas.
