An annual Father’s Day Weekend tradition, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs will host its 12th annual Native American Pow Wow June 19-21. Surprise Dad with a trip to Eureka Springs for this family event that will begin at 3 p.m. today.

The weekend celebration will include craft booths, Inter-Tribal Dance contests, Color Guard, singers, story tellers, drumming, artists, wildlife exhibits and more. Food and soft drinks will be available too.

The cost is $5 daily admission or $10 for the weekend. Children three and under are free. The proceeds help build natural habitats for the big cats at Turpentine. The refuge is located seven miles south of Eureka Springs on Ark. 23. If you want more info, give ‘em a call at 479-253-3790 or visit www.turpentinecreek.org.

Sad to see this pow wow has ended. Do you know of any other pow wows that are close to Springdale?

      Hi Maria,

I searched our calendar of events and the Internet but didn’t find any near Springdale. You might check with the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. They might know of some.
