Today’s Trip: A Fine Country Dinner Fundraiser at Whitton Farms in Tyronza
Whitton Farms in Tyronza hosts “A Fine Country Dinner” fundraiser for the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home Project on Sunday, September 9. The event is scheduled from 3-7 p.m.
The event features a dinner prepared by some of the best chefs in the region, all celebrating food grown from the Arkansas Delta soil. Those participating in the dinner include Chef Kelly English of Restaurant Iris; Chef Felicia Willet of Felicia Suzanne’s; Chef Miles McMath of St. Jude; Chef Doug Hollis of Trolley Stop Market; Chef Mac Edwards of The Elegant Farmer; and Justin Fox Burks of The Chubby Vegetarian.
Live music will be provided by The Side Street Steppers, The Ditch 40 Boys and The Bluff City Backsliders.
Other activities include tours of Whitton Farms, hay rides, heirloom tomato tastings, heirloom watermelon tastings, Ghost River Brewery beer tastings, a silent auction, a shop featuring local artisans, and a discussion on the Arkansas Delta by Dr. Michael Dougan.
