Get ready for some barbecue. Pine Bluff welcomes back the Smoke on the Water Barbecue and Music Festival on Sept. 14-15. The event, being held at Regional Park, features the Arkansas State Barbecue Championship, live music, arts and crafts, and food vendors.
For great food for a great cause, check out the 11th annual Ribba-Ramma, an amateur competition created especially for the weekend warrior and backyard griller. Each team will be required to prepare four racks of baby back ribs. Three bones will be turned in for judging and the rest will be sold to the public from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Area IX Special Olympics.
Friday night’s musical entertainment begins with the Prison Band from 5-7 p.m. The evening’s headliner is Little Rock’s own Riverbilly from 7-10. Saturday’s performances include Arkansas native Ben Coulter from 1-4 p.m. and Tragikly White from 7-10 p.m.
