If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly event this holiday weekend, check out the Delta Cultural Center’s 11th annual Arkansas Delta Family Gospel Festival on Saturday, May 28, in Helena-West Helena. The legendary Mavis Staples is the headline performer for the festival.

The festival, which is free, kicks-off with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. The rest of the day’s schedule:

11:20-11:40 a.m.: Voices of Joy
11:50 a.m.-12:05 p.m.: Delta Sunday Best (Youth Division)
12:15-12:50 p.m.: Fantastic Jordan Wonders
1-1:30 p.m.: The Dixie Wonders
1:50-2:40 p.m.: The Rev. John Wilkins
2:55-3:45 p.m.: Gloryland Pastor’s Choir
4-5:15 p.m.: The Lee Boys
5:30-6:45 p.m.: Tim Rogers & The Fellas
7-8:15 p.m.: The Holmes Brothers
8:30-9:45 p.m.: Mavis Staples

All performances take place at the Cherry Street Pavilion, located on Cherry Street directly across from the Delta Cultural Center.
