Powhatan Historic State Park in Powhatan is hosting a book signing this Saturday, Aug. 28, for two Arkansas authors.
Geneva King Emerson lives near Calamine, in Sharp County, and writes historical fiction and creative non-fiction novels. Her books include “The Greatest of These,” set during the Depression, and “The Sharecropper’s Child,” a collection of short stories set in northeast Arkansas.
Dr. Earl W. Belcher hails from Cave City, also in Sharp Co., is the author of “The Square Peg,” “My Boy Scout Tales,” and “Maximum Free Genealogy from the Internet.” All three books are non-fiction.
The book signing will take place inside the historic 1888 Powhatan Courthouse on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
