I’m sure you’ve heard of a Pumpkin Patch, but have you ever heard of a Pizza Patch? You can visit one at Arkansas Frontier in Quitman on Sept. 16-30. Think about what goes on a pizza and where that food comes from and you’ll have an idea of what to expect. You can also visit the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch Oct. 1-31. Other traditional activities such as a hayride around the farm and a farm animal exhibit are available, too.
Arkansas Frontier features the rich farming past of our nation with living history programs and events that are fun for the whole family. The entire facility has been setup to teach the public about farm life and how early settlers lived in the American Frontier. The interactive experience includes touring a replica of the Dog-Trot style housing that the settlers lived in, visiting a public school setting attended by early pioneer children, and seeing how Native American Indians lived and gathered food.
