The 2013 season of Rowdy Adventures Zip Line Adventure Park in Okolona opens this weekend ( April 20). While at the park, visitors can fly through the “Hole in the Sky”, the longest tree based zip line in the South, while enjoying a view of the Little Missouri River.
Rowdy Adventures, the South’s largest zip line park, offers miles of cable and 14 zip lines where visitors can explore the beauty of nature zipping through the treetops or floating down the Little Missouri River in a canoe or kayak.
This season, they will be adding horseback rides to the mix. They have also added a Swamp Buggy to their rides that will be part of the zip tours. They also offer Night Zipping and are the only place in Arkansas that offers this. Of note, if you want to do this it is by reservation only and on Saturday evenings only.
The park is located on Copperhead Creek Preserve on hundreds of acres adjoining the Little Missouri River. While at the park, guests can get a view of the century old “Old Iron Bridge” and the “Path to Broadway,” the old highway that was used to travel through the South before the development of the interstate system. They can also learn interesting facts about the trees in the South and see where a Civil war skirmish was fought.
