Kerry Kraus

We all know it’s hot. And chances are it may get hotter before summer ends. In Arkansas there is no better way to beat the heat than to go swimming in one of the many lakes and rivers. Not all are conducive to safe swimming however. Those with beaches are the most swimmer-friendly.

We also have a list of some of the favorite old-fashioned swimmin’ holes in Arkansas. It’s great fun for the kids and if you’re an adult, it makes you feel like a youngster again.

Discover some great ways to get the best of the temperature this summer.
