I don’t know about you but George Strait is one of my all-time favorite artists. It was recently announced that he will no longer be recording or touring. He is offering his fans one last time to see him before The Cowboy Rides Away. Fortunately, he will be stopping in North Little Rock as he performs at Verizon Arena on April 12, 2013. Tickets are sold out.
With 39 studio albums and 57 #1 singles, it is hard to picture a music scene without George. He has paved the way for more artists such as Randy Travis, Clint Black and Alan Jackson, just to name a few. With such influential songs as “The Best Day,” “I Saw God Today,” and “Love Without End, Amen,” George has etched his name in history. Although I am sad to see him go, I am thrilled he will be in North Little Rock. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for hopes we have not seen the last of George Strait.
