Tomorrow night some of Little Rock’s earliest residents make an appearance at Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock for the 16th annual Tales of the Crypt. Fourteen gravesites are highlighted with 20 Parkview High School students recreating the lives of these influential Arkansans who helped shape Little Rock history. The students have researched each character and prepared their own scripts for the evening, which is under the direction of Fred Boosey and Tamara Zinck. Debi Manir, an award-winning local costumer, provides the authentic garb for the characters.
New this year is a performance by the Jazz Ensemble from Parkview Arts-Science Magnet High School. The music prior to the tour beginning sets the tone for the evening with a selection of New Orleans styled funeral music.
Mount Hollow is located at 1200 Broadway in downtown Little Rock. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free but donations are welcome and go to the cemetery maintenance fund.
