It’s the first full weekend in June, and there are some great family-friendly events happening in eastern Arkansas!
Portfest in Newport is known for music and fireworks, and this year is no exception. Held along the banks of the White River at Jacksonport State Park on June 5-7, Portfest features carnival fun for the entire family and live music on Friday night. Saturday’s events include a large carnival, activities for children, a bass tournament and arts and crafts and live music. Saturday evening concludes with a fireworks extravaganza.
