This weekend promises to be a beautiful one in the north central Ozarks. If you love birds, check out this event!
The White River provides a unique place to view a variety of birds, including the Northern Cardinal, Blue Jay and Carolina Chickadee. Discover why the river provides such great habitat to so many feathered creatures when Jacksonport State Park in Newport presents Bird Magnets on March 12. Participants will hear a variety of bird songs and make their own bird magnet to take home. To learn more, contact the park at 870-523-2143. Admission is free. While you’re there, check out the newest exhibit, “We Knew Nothing of War: Questions of a Civil War Soldier.” Take some time this weekend to get out and enjoy the wonders of The Natural State!
