In my humble opinion, very little beats good Mexican food – except maybe for free good Mexican food. You can enjoy that this evening at Dickey-Stephens Park as the Mexican Restaurant Association hosts a Customer Appreciation Reception from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are available from the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau offices at the Visitors Center in Burns Park. You’ll have the opportunity to taste some of best Mexican food from around the country.
The convention is Sept. 27-29 at the Wyndham Riverfront in North Little Rock. The theme is “The Mexican Restaurant – Celebrating Mexico’s Independence and Revolution 200 Years of Independence – 100 Years of Revolution.”
Educational seminars and tastings are presented throughout the event by chefs and Tequila Maestros from across the United States and Mexico. Chefs Gilbert Alaquinez, Jack Dougherty and Jay Baker from the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion’s host a luncheon for the attendees. There is also a dinner and tasting at Pulaski Technical College, sponsored by the Culinary Arts Department for those at the conference.
Get your tickets to enjoy some great Mexican food and extend a warm Arkansas welcome to our international visitors.
