It soon will be easier to come and visit us in northwest Arkansas.
The new $20 million concourse at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, XNA, will be open for business on Sept. 1. The expansion provides eight additional gates for business and leisure travelers flying into and out of XNA. That brings the total up to 20 gates.
Air service includes 51 flights daily to Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Memphis, Detroit, Houston, Newark, Denver, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Orlando/Sanford and Las Vegas.
XNA is Arkansas’ second-largest airport. The new restaurant and retail vendor for the airport is The Paradies Shops. The Atlanta-based company will have about four food and beverage venues open in the new concourse.
An invitation-only grand opening celebration will take place Aug. 24. with numerous state and regional politicians in attendance, as well as other VIPs in the business and tourism industries.
