White Oak Lake State Park - Deals & Coupons

Park includes campsites; store with supplies, bait and gifts; launch ramp, barrier-free fishing pier; pavilion; picnic sites, trails, playground; visitor center with exhibits, CD interactive program, bicycle rentals. Due to damage on the dam, the lower portion of White Oak Lake is without water and not expected to refill until 2014. The park is open except for the marina and boat rentals suspended for the time being. Pets must be leashed at all times. The evening before the battle of Poison Spring, the Union Forces camped on White Oak Creek near where the state park is located today. The park is the interpretation gateway to Poison Spring and the Southern arm of the Red River Campaign.
