We would like to introduce you to a few of Arkansas’s top-notch chefs.  Periodically, chef demonstrations, recipe videos and a new chef interview will be added to this page.

What could be better than getting to know a cooking expert through a chef interview or finding out the tricks of the trade in expert chef demonstrations? Arkansas is a culinary paradise full of vibrant tastes, textures and aromas–meet the people behind the state’s most delicious dishes and Arkansas restaurants.

Chef Ryan Dubasak is executive chef at Luna Bella in Hot Springs. The new family-owned Italian American restaurant opened in early 2010.

Chef Dubasek was very surprised to find a large number of family owned restaurants in Hot Springs. Dubasek worked for a while in Tampa, Florida, where most of the restaurants he encountered were corporately owned. He loves how in each restaurant in the Spa City, you can find a different interpretation of food – where several restaurants might have the same dish but each of those dishes is unique from the others.
