Benefits

Our Department offers an excellent benefit package including immediate accrual of annual and sick leave, eleven paid holidays, and a contributory retirement plan. Our Department pays the major portion of medical health insurance for full-time employees and offers several medical plans from which to choose. These plans range from an indemnity plan with a PPO option to HMO's.

Other benefits include maternity leave, court and jury duty leave, military leave and a catastrophic illness leave program as well as Family and Medical leave. Employees with our Department may choose to participate in a deferred compensation plan and various options for life insurance, accident insurance, cancer care and intensive care insurance. Employees are also able to participate in the Arkansas Cafeteria Plan which is a program designed to allow an employee to pay for group health and life insurance premiums, dependent day care and out-of-pocket medical care costs tax free. All employees of our Department are also covered under workers' compensation and unemployment insurance.

Maintenance Technician (Pinnacle Mountain)

This position performs general maintenance on park grounds, facilities, and equipment and serves as a crew leader for the park’s maintenance staff.  Job duties include hiring, training, and supervising full-time, seasonal, and volunteer maintenance workers and performing both skilled and non-skilled maintenance duties, such as janitorial, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds keeping, vehicle maintenance, and equipment maintenance.  This position also maintains equipment history records, supply inventories, and other assigned record keeping.  Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to traverse rough terrain and work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.  A driving record check will be performed.

Facility Manager II (Village Creek)

This position assists in the management of the golf course's clubhouse/Pro Shop and is responsible for the day to day operations of this revenue producing facility. Job duties include greeting visitors, selling merchandise, operating a cash register, reporting cash register receipts daily, keeping files and records for operations, stocking and cleaning display area, assisting in selecting and pricing resale items, and counting inventory monthly. This position also takes tee times, rents golf carts, instructs guests in course rules, and performs other duties as assigned. Maintenance Technician (Daisy)

Grade:        C113

This position is responsible for the maintenance of park facilities, grounds and equipment.  Performs both skilled and non-skilled tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, cleaning, grounds keeping, trash removal, and vehicle maintenance.  Conducts job performance evaluations, maintains equipment history records, coordinates work assignments, and develops an overall park maintenance plan and preventive maintenance program as well as implementing a park-wide recycling program.  Supervises and trains full-time and seasonal employees, community service workers and volunteers involved in park maintenance projects.  Serves as the primary operator of a wastewater facility.  If the applicant does not have a wastewater license, they must be able to complete the licensing process to achieve a minimum of Class II, although Class III is preferred.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.  A valid driver’s license is required, and a driver’s record check will be performed.

Asst. Housekeeping Supervisor / Housekeeper Supervisor (Mt. Magazine)

This position works as the assistant to the executive housekeeper and assists in the training of new employees in housekeeping procedures. This position acts as supervisor for full time and seasonal housekeepers in the executive housekeeper’s absence and performs other related responsibilities as required or assigned. This position is responsible for cleaning of all rental units in lodge complex, outside cabins and public use areas in facility. Sweeps, mops, and buffs floors, vacuums rugs, cleans baseboards, cleans bathroom, dusts furniture and fixtures, washes windows and blinds and empties trash. Strips and waxes floors and cleans fireplaces as needed. Applicant must be able to move 50 pounds, have a valid driver’s license, the ability to carry out oral and/or written instructions, and work a varied work schedule including weekends and holidays. A criminal background check is required.

Skilled Trades Supervisor (Planning & Development)

This position is a working supervisor, responsible for planning and assigning projects to efficiently direct the activities of a crew of carpenters and other trades. Job duties include preparing work schedules, analyzing blueprints, inspecting projects, performing carpentry, and performing some administrative functions. Other job duties include attending and conducting staff meetings and safety meetings, making hiring and termination decisions, estimating time and materials needed for projects, preparing reports, and performing other duties as assigned. Frequent statewide travel is required, but the position will be based in the Russellville area. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license; will check driving record.

Welcome Center Assistant Manager (Texarkana)

This position greets and provides travel information to visitors, maps routes for tourists, and provides weather information.  Job duties include ordering literature, maintaining the literature logbook, and stocking brochures in literature racks.  The Assistant Manager enters daily visitation data into the computer to generate monthly reports, serves as the AASIS timekeeper for the facility, and acts as supervisor in supervisor’s absence.  Welcome Center staff must wear the provided uniform, maintain CPR/First Aid certification (provided), be able to move up to 45 pounds, and must be available to work some weekends and holidays.
