Benefits

Our Department offers an excellent benefit package including immediate accrual of annual and sick leave, eleven paid holidays, and a contributory retirement plan. Our Department pays the major portion of medical health insurance for full-time employees and offers several medical plans from which to choose. These plans range from an indemnity plan with a PPO option to HMO's.

Other benefits include maternity leave, court and jury duty leave, military leave and a catastrophic illness leave program as well as Family and Medical leave. Employees with our Department may choose to participate in a deferred compensation plan and various options for life insurance, accident insurance, cancer care and intensive care insurance. Employees are also able to participate in the Arkansas Cafeteria Plan which is a program designed to allow an employee to pay for group health and life insurance premiums, dependent day care and out-of-pocket medical care costs tax free. All employees of our Department are also covered under workers' compensation and unemployment insurance.

Maintenance Specialist

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position performs general maintenance on buildings, grounds and equipment, including cleaning rest rooms, picking up trash/litter, mowing, weed-eating, tree trimming and painting. Additional duties include assisting in light carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs. Other responsibilities include operating and maintaining lawn care equipment and park vehicles, keeping inventory of supplies, training extra-help employees, and performing other duties asassigned. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work weekends and holidays. A driver’s record check will be performed.

Facility Manager I (Dining Room Manager)

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position is a first-line greeter in a 125 seat restaurant with adjacent 40 seatdining area. As a working supervisor, this position sets up and tears down banquet facilities and ensures serving personnel are scheduled. Duties include greeting and seating guests, explaining menu items and specials, assisting with resolving complaints, handling monetary transactions, supervising employees and preparing work schedules. The Facility Manager is required to work weekends and some holidays with a varied work schedule. Landscape Technician

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position is responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance activities at the Village Creek Golf Course. The Landscape Technician performs grounds keeping activities, such as pruning, mixing chemicals, applying fertilizers and pesticides, mulching, weeding, planting trees and shrubs, and performing pest control. Other job duties include monitoring inventories, operating a variety of grounds keeping equipment, maintaining the irrigation system and monitoring for malfunctions, and other duties asassigned. Familiarity with mowers and grounds keeping equipment is required. Applicant must be able to work a varied shift, including weekends and holidays, and be able to work in all kinds of weather. A driver's record check will be performed.
