Primitive Pottery Workshop
American Indians of the Southeast who lived here long before we did used local clays and primitive methods to make pots for cooking, water jugs, eating bowls, storage pots and art objects. Learn this ancient craft by using natural materials from the St. Francis River right here at Parkin to make your own pottery vessels. Vessels will be fired in an open fire pit at a later date. Make sure to bring your own sack lunch. Workshop fee includes materials. Reservations are required and space is limited.
