Event: Basket Weaving Workshop

The mounds at Toltec were built by the Plum Bayou people one basket of earth at a time. Join a park interpreter and learn to weave your own basket to use, display, or give as a gift for the holidays! We will begin with a brief, educational presentation on Southeastern Native American basket technology, given by our own resident archeologist, Dr. Liz Horton. This event is guaranteed to be both educational and fun! Fee includes materials. Contact the park for registration.
