Lake Dardanelle State Park is providing an opportunity on National River Cleanup Day for people to come together to make a big impact. Volunteers are needed! The amount of trash and debris collected and removed on this day will improve the health of wildlife, people and habitat of our local waterways year round. This is a terrific service project for families, Scouts, church groups, and others interested in community service. Registration for the cleanup will start at 8 a.m. at the visitor center with the cleanup ending around 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served to all volunteers at 12:00 p.m. Please remember to wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty and wet. Just a few hours can make a big difference. If you would like to volunteer please contact Elizabeth Drake at 479-890-7479.
