Celebrate the holiday season by tying the joys of the holiday season to the history and natural beauty of Moro Bay State Park. Campers will fill the campground with Christmas lights and decorations while the park staff decorates the rest of the park. Visitors will be allowed to drive through and preview the lights on Friday, Dec. 13. The park will be closed to drive-through traffic on Saturday, Dec. 14, for the main event. Saturday includes free hay rides through the campground, a campfire for roasting marshmallows, Santa's Workshop where kids can have their photo taken with St. Nick, and a snack stand with coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, hot dogs, and marshmallows. There will also be a "Best Decorated Campsite" contest in which visitors can vote on their favorite campsite.
